Fitment on this one is narrow by design: the 2007 Lexus GS 350 service and repair manual is tied to this model year and to the 3.5L V6 (2GR-FSE) as Lexus built it, so the clearances, torque values and procedures it gives are the ones written for your car rather than figures borrowed from an adjacent year or a different drivetrain.

Known issues on the 2007 GS 350. Three recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first covers the accelerator pedal on certain all-wheel-drive cars: the recall says there is a possibility that the plastic pad embedded into the floor carpet may interfere, and that the pedal could temporarily become stuck in a partially depressed position. The second covers the engine, where the recall cites micro-foreign objects in the material of the valve spring and the engine could fail and stop suddenly while the vehicle is in motion. The third is also an engine recall: loose bolts could cause the VVT gear housing and sprocket to separate. Owners have filed 67 complaints for the year and Lexus has issued 50 technical service bulletins. The diagnostic and repair procedures behind each of those systems are here.
Whether you are chasing an engine that stops suddenly, inspecting the valvetrain and VVT gear, or working a scheduled service interval, it keeps you on the OEM procedure and the correct specification for this 2007 GS 350.
