Known issues on the 2007 FX35. For this model year NHTSA records 4 recalls, and the passenger front air bag is the thread running through them. Certain 2007 FX35 vehicles with a previously replaced passenger air bag received a cushion folded the wrong way, which could rip under deployment pressure. Certain vehicles carrying an inflator without a drying agent, installed as an interim remedy, face propellant breakdown from heat and humidity, and certain vehicles registered in specified regions share a similar rupture risk. Dealers replace the affected module or inflator. Of 37 complaints, air bags draw 9; 2 reported a crash, 1 a fire and 2 an injury.
