2007 GMC Sierra 2500 HD Classic Service and Repair Manual

Known issues on the 2007 Sierra 2500 HD Classic. Three recalls are on the federal record. Two of them concern the passenger frontal air bag inflator, which can rupture as its propellant degrades and drive metal fragments into the cabin during deployment. The third concerns trucks with an auxiliary battery, where drawing too much current through the trailer harness can melt a fusible link, damage the electrical center cover and the conduit near it, and raise a fire risk. Owners have logged 83 complaints, 46 on the air bags and small groups on service brakes and the electrical system. Restraint and trailer wiring diagnostics are both documented here.
