2007 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 Classic Service and Repair Manual
This factory service and repair manual for the 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 Classic covers the outgoing body carried over into the model year: three V8s, five cab configurations and three trims. The engine list runs from a turbocharged 6.6L diesel of 403 cubic inches through a 6.0L gasoline unit to the 496-cubic-inch 8.1L, and the bodies stretch from a crew cab pickup to a bare two-door cab and chassis, so the driveline, frame and electrical procedures have to be read against the truck in front of you.

Known issues on the 2007 Silverado 3500 Classic. Five recalls are on the federal record. Two concern a passenger frontal air bag inflator that can explode instead of inflating, sending sharp metal fragments toward the front passenger. Fire accounts for two more: a heated washer module that can ignite, and a ceiling air conditioner heater element able to smoke or spark. The last is an auxiliary battery fusible link that can melt into adjacent components and damage the electrical center cover and harness conduit. Owners have registered 39 complaints, 12 of them on air bags and 5 on engine and cooling.
