From 2006 the V Star 1100 Silverado moved to a different service reference: LIT-11616-SL-12, covering the 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 model years. The 2006 machine carries the code XVS11ATV.

That change of part number is the detail most people miss. A manual that served a 2005 bike is not the one for this machine, and ordering by year alone leads to exactly that mistake.
