Certain 2005 S-Class line vehicles were recalled for instrument clusters prone to electrical faults that could darken the gauges, including the speedometer, while certain 2005 W220-chassis models equipped with Active Body Control acceleration sensors on the front struts were recalled because poorly soldered sensor boards could make the front suspension sit unevenly.
