This factory service and repair manual for the 2003 Mercedes-Benz CLK320 covers a 2-door coupe and a 2-door convertible sharing one listed powertrain. Base is the listed trim. The engine is a 3.2L V6 on gasoline, naturally aspirated, using single overhead camshafts. With just one engine to learn, most of the variation in service work comes from the body: the convertible's roof and the coupe's fixed glass call for different body and electrical procedures.

Known issues on the 2003 CLK320. The federal record shows three recalls for the 2003 CLK320, and the three share a theme, roof glass on certain vehicles: in two, the sunroof panel might not be fastened securely, and in the third, the adhesive holding the glass panel to the sliding roof frame could degrade, so the glass could come loose and land on the road. Separately, NHTSA filed a recall against the 2003 CLK-Class line for certain vehicles coded incorrectly during a workshop visit, so the fuel pump might keep running after a crash. Owners logged 18 complaints, led by electrical faults; 4 complaints reported a crash. Roof, fuel system and wiring procedures and diagnostics are covered.
