Known issues on the 2002 Vue. The federal record holds 2 recalls for the 2002 Vue. Certain vehicles built within a stated production window could let the key come out of the ignition before it reached Off, so the vehicle might roll away if not secured in Park or with the parking brake; dealers replaced the ignition cylinder and keys where needed. A second recall reached certain vehicles, 327 in all, where the guide bolts anchoring the rear outer shoulder belts had gone in wrongly and might not hold in a crash. Owners logged 167 complaints, led by the electrical system (52) and engine and engine cooling (31); 13 complaints reported a crash, 5 a fire and 6 an injury.
