This factory service and repair manual for the 2002 GMC B7 documents the cab forward school bus in B7T042 form with the two engines offered that year: the turbocharged 7.2L OHV inline-six diesel and the naturally aspirated 8.1L OHV V8 gasoline. The book is organized by system, so injection and fuel delivery for the diesel, ignition and fuel delivery for the V8, and then the shared brake, steering, suspension, driveline and electrical material for the bus itself.

Known issues on the 2002 B7. No recall has been issued for this bus, and NHTSA holds no owner complaints on it. What the manual provides is the technical detail. Both engines get full procedures and specifications, the torque values that go with them, wiring diagrams and diagnostics, and the cab forward chassis is treated the same way, which lets a technician follow a fault from a diagnostic reading through the wiring diagram to the repair procedure and its final torque value without switching sources.
This PI communicates the requirement to provide a pico file to receive diagnostic assistance from TAC.
