Production of the 250 cruiser resumed after a break, and the 2001 machine carries the model code XV250P. Yamaha did not commission new literature for it; the existing shop manual, part number LIT-11616-XV-25, was already the reference for the platform.
That book spans 1988 to 1990, 1995 to 1999 and 2001 to 2005, and takes in the Route 66 as well. So the pages that describe your bike also describe machines more than a decade older, which tells you something about how little the fundamentals moved.
