Late in the run, the 2001 carburetted ULTIMA carries code G16AW. Yamaha did not issue it a manual of its own; the car is covered by LIT-19616-G1-60, the service volume for the whole G16 family.

Inside that book are the 1996 to 2002 model years and thirteen related machines, including the earlier G16-AP, G16-AR, G16-AS, G16-AT and G16-AU, the final G16-AX, and the complete 36-volt electric series from G16-EP to G16-EX. Yamaha wrote it that way because the platform changed little across those years.

The value of factory material is precision. Torque figures, service limits and inspection measurements are the ones Yamaha specified, wiring is drawn as the harness was built, and repair steps follow the sequence a trained technician was taught. Nothing is generalised across brands.
