Known issues on the 2000 Prowler. Two recalls are on the federal record for the 2000 Prowler. In the first, certain 2000 Prowler vehicles could see the front lower control arm ball joints lose lubrication, wear fast and separate from the steering knuckle, which would take away directional control; dealers fitted modified joints. The second concerned certain vehicles whose owner's manuals lacked instructions, with diagrams, for attaching a child seat tether, and owners received an addendum.
