YFM80L identifies the 1999 Badger. Yamaha documented it in the service manual issued as LIT-11616-YF-80.

Scope

This one manual answers for 1992 to 2001 and 2005, and for the Grizzly 80 as well. Yamaha wrote it that way because the machines share the great majority of their service work; differences between years are noted where they exist.

The engine section takes the motor from removal through measurement to reassembly.
