Known issues on the 1999 Econoline Super Duty. Three recalls are on federal record for the 1999 Econoline Super Duty. One concerns cutaways and stripped chassis with single rear wheels, where the lug nuts can bottom out on a shoulder on the studs. The other two were issued by outside suppliers for aftermarket combination corner and bumper lamp assemblies. Owners have logged 102 complaints with NHTSA for this chassis. The manual's wheel and hub procedures and torque values cover the lug nut and stud inspection, and its lighting wiring diagrams and diagnostics apply when lamp assemblies are replaced on the chassis.
