Known issues on the 1998 C70. NHTSA lists 4 recalls for the 1998 C70. The headlight switch appears in separate campaigns: on certain 1998 C70 vehicles it could wear with long use until the headlights worked intermittently or went dark, and dealers replaced it or inspected it and, where needed, replaced it. Another addressed certain cars whose front turn signal bulbs could lose contact with their sockets. A further campaign added a ground wire on certain vehicles where static discharge could set off the passenger air bag unintentionally. Owners filed 8 complaints, 2 of them about the hydraulic service brakes, and 1 complaint reported a crash.
