1997 Yamaha WAVE RUNNER GP 1200 Service and Repair Manual

Yamaha documented the GP1200V, the 1997 Wave Runner GP 1200, in service manual LIT-18616-01-76. The same volume runs through the 1998, 1999 and 2000 model years and also covers the GP760.

Four seasons and two displacements in one book is a fair amount of ground, but the GP hulls of this period shared enough that the factory saw no reason to split them. Where the GP1200 and GP760 differ, the manual says which applies.

What you use it for is the same as any factory manual: torque specifications, service limits, the order components come apart and go back together, wiring diagrams and structured diagnosis. On a craft that is now a maintenance project as much as a toy, those numbers are what keep a rebuild honest.
