Known issues on the 1995 F-800 LPO. Five recalls are listed on the federal record here. Trucks left the factory without a separate antilock brake warning lamp, so a brake system failure would give no warning. A drag link not intended for low-profile trucks can contact the front axle I-beam and cost the driver steering control. The tilt-hood lamp connector was built without sealing plugs, letting moisture and road salt short or corrode the front lighting wiring. Owners have filed two complaints with NHTSA, split between the service brakes and the power train. THE HAND THROTTLE CABLE CAN WEAR THE BRASS SWIVEL BLOCK ON THE GOVERNOR LEVER THROUGH WHICH IT PASSES.
THE DRAG LINK INSTALLED CAN CONTACT THE FRONT AXLE I-BEAM UNDER CERTAIN EXTREME CONDITIONS. THIS DRAG LINK WAS NOT INTENDED TO BE INSTALLED ON "LOW PROFILE" VEHICLES.
