On certain 1994 850 vehicles, prolonged heat could cause the fuel tank to seep where its heat shield attaches, a fire risk near an ignition source; tanks showing leakage were replaced and reinforcement bushings fitted. The second, covering 14,000 sedans and wagons, addressed ice forming at the throttle in severe cold on certain 1994 850 vehicles, which could hold the throttle open. Owners have logged 87 complaints, led by the gasoline fuel system at 13 and the electrical system at 12; 6 complaints reported a crash, 3 a fire and 9 an injury.
