Known issues on the 1994 XJ12. Two recalls are on federal record for this model year. The first concerns aftermarket FRAM replacement fuel filters whose connector didn't meet the O-ring seal specification, which can leave an inadequate seal at the connection and, in the presence of an ignition source, lead to a fire. The second covers the hood liner, which can sag and interfere with the throttle linkage, causing high engine idle speed and increasing the risk of a crash.
