The download I received was a complete waste of my money. Was not even close to what it was represented as. I thought I was getting a proper service repair manual. What I got was a collection of service bulletins. I sent an email to your company right after I looked through it requesting my money back. Have yet to hear a response. Terry Muich

More detailed than I thought, still trying to navigate through it, not what I thought it would be, thought it would be more like the Haynes manual.

It was much larger than i expected. 5 documents at 12k pages each. Its not something ill actually be able read but its easy enough to find what you need..
The Ford F250 manual is much easier to navigate at just over 8000 pages.
If i spend the money for Adobe Acrobat Professional ill be able to break it down into manageable bits.
Both manuals area great value for the money.

Schematics were not high resolution making the markings and names difficult to read when zoomed in. Improvement is needed. Otherwise it is a good document.

I wasn’t sure why I needed this to be a PDF, but it was apparent once I got it. It includes what would be thousands of pages if it were in print. The links take you to wherever you need to go in the text.

would rather have a maintenance manual. have a parts manual from parts vu company. only difference is that your parts manual has all together whereas the parts vu had to download the differsections individually.

Our original order was supposed to be for our 2014 Subaru Outback, yet the manual came up as Forester. We did have to purchase a new manual in order for them to send us the correct manual. We hope it will help us repair our Subaru.

This service and repair manual is tied to the 1992 Lexus SC 400 in particular — the 4.0L V8 (1UZ-FE) in Base trim — so the clearances, torque figures and procedures you work from are the ones Lexus published for this model year, not a close approximation carried over from an adjacent one.

Engines

  • 4.0L V8 GAS Naturally Aspirated

Trims

  • Base

Known issues on the 1992 SC 400. One recall is on federal record for this model year, and it covers the hydraulic service brake foundation components: an incomplete anti-lock brake and traction control computer logic program traps brake fluid pressure in the rear brake lines, and the pressure that never releases makes the rear brakes drag while pedal application applies the front brakes only — early wear of the rear brake lining, increased stopping distances, and a possible loss of vehicle control and a possible accident. Owners have filed 30 complaints for the year, and Lexus has issued no technical service bulletins for it. The diagnostic and repair procedures behind that brake system are here.

Whether you are chasing a rear brake that drags, testing the anti-lock side of the system, or working a routine service interval, it holds you to the OEM procedure and the correct specification for this 1992 SC 400.

NHTSA #92V04600001/04/1992Component: SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC:FOUNDATION COMPONENTS

THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKE/TRACTION CONTROL COMPUTER LOGIC PROGRAM WAS INCOMPLETE, RESULTING IN THE TRAPPING OF BRAKE FLUID PRESSURE IN THE REAR BRAKE LINES. FAILURE TO RELEASE THE REAR BRAKE LINE PRESSURE CAUSES A CONDITION WHERE BRAKE PEDAL APPLICATION RESULTS IN ACTIVATION OF THE FRONT BRAKE ONLY, AND CONTINUAL REAR BRAKE DRAG.

Consequence

FAILURE TO RELEASE THE HYDRAULIC PRESSURE IN THE REARBRAKE LINES CAUSES THE REAR BRAKES TO "DRAG" AND A CONDITION WHERE ONLY THEFRONT BRAKES ARE APPLIED WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL IS DEPRESSED BY OPERATOR. THISRESULTS IN EARLY WEAR OF THE REAR BRAKE LINING, INCREASES OF STOPPING DISTANCES,AND POSSIBLE LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL AND A POSSIBLE ACCIDENT.

Remedy

REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE ANTI-LOCK BRAKE/TRACTION CONTROL COMPUTER, AND IF ANY BRAKE SYSTEM IS DAMAGED FROM THE DEFECTIVE OPERATION OF THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKE/TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM, REPAIR THE DAMAGE AT NO COST.
