Why the coverage list is so long
Yamaha did not reprint this manual annually. One volume was kept in dealer service departments for the whole G9 production span, 1985 through 1995, covering thirty-one variants including both carburetted and 36V electric cars.
The practical result is a book that documents running changes alongside the original build, so if a previous owner fitted a later part, the procedure for it is probably in the same pages. Engine and carburettor work, ignition and starter-generator testing, clutch and drive belt service, brakes, steering, suspension, torque tables and complete wiring diagrams are all included, with service limits given for the measurements that decide whether a component is reusable.
