Known issues on the 1991 Q45. Two recalls are on the federal record for the 1991 Q45. The first covered certain 1991 Q45 vehicles with Bose rear speakers carrying a built-in amplifier: fluid seeping from a capacitor, together with humid air, could form a conductive path across the amplifier board and hold a transistor on until it overheated, risking smoke or a speaker fire. The second applied to certain 1991 Q45 vehicles fitted with Takata-made belts, whose red front buckle buttons could break and let pieces foul the latch. Owners submitted 34 complaints, led by equipment at 7 and hydraulic service brakes at 6; 4 complaints reported a fire, 3 a crash and 2 an injury. Electrical wiring diagrams and diagnostics apply.
