1990 Suzuki Swift Service and Repair Manual

New for 1990, a four-door sedan joined the Swift hatchback, giving Suzuki's small car its broadest lineup: GA, GL and GLX hatchbacks, GA, GL and GS sedans, and the sporty GT hatchback. Most models used a 1.3-liter SOHC four-cylinder, while the GT carried a 1.3-liter DOHC 16-valve engine of about 100 horsepower. With two different engines and two bodies, specifications vary more than on later Swifts. Known issues on the 1990 Swift. Two recalls are on federal record: a recall for misplaced spot welds on the hood striker that could crack the inner hood panel and let the hood fly up; a recall for red front seat belt release buttons that could break and jam the buckle.
