1990 Mercedes-Benz 300TE Service and Repair Manual

This factory service and repair manual for the 1990 Mercedes-Benz 300TE covers two trims of the four-door wagon, Base and 4Matic. Known issues on the 1990 300TE. One recall was filed against certain 1990 W124-chassis passenger cars, and its description lists the 300E, CE, TE, D, E 4MATIC and TE 4MATIC. Its defect involved the auxiliary fan's preresistor on certain of those cars, whose plastic cover could melt in some operating conditions and set the part alight under the hood. A metal-covered preresistor was fitted as the fix. The manual includes auxiliary fan wiring diagrams, cooling fan procedures and electrical diagnostics for the wagon.
