1988 GMC C7000 Service and Repair Manual
This factory service and repair manual for the 1988 GMC C7000 lists five engines: the naturally aspirated 6.0L OHV and 7.0L gasoline V8s, the 8.2L diesel V8 in both turbocharged and naturally aspirated form, and the turbocharged 10.4L diesel V8. Two designations were offered, C7D042 and C7D064, bodied as a medium conventional tractor, a medium conventional straight truck or a conventional cab and chassis. Coverage is organized by system, so a fleet running more than one of those engines can work from a single book.

Known issues on the 1988 C7000. The federal record shows a clean sheet here, with no recall campaigns and no owner complaints logged with NHTSA.
