Known issues on the 1986 C70. Two recalls are on the federal record for this year. In the first, paint left on the bolt threads and on the mating surface of the power steering assist cylinder bracket lets those bolts loosen, producing slack and erratic steering through full turns. In the second, a quench crack in the parking brake actuating lever cam can widen and reduce how well the parking brake holds. One owner complaint has been filed, on engine and engine cooling. Steering, parking brake and cooling specifications are all set out here.
