Known issues on the 1984 L1116. One recall is recorded for the 1984 L1116, covering certain heavy trucks. Some of the bolts that hold the brake assembly to the axle could snap with no warning sign, and a broken bolt could damage the rear brake assembly and leave the rear axle with little or no braking. The three long bolts in the brake assembly were checked for a code number and replaced where needed.
