By the 1982 season the IT175 was designated IT175J, and its factory service manual is LIT-11626-03-13. That volume covers the 1982 machine only.

So there is one check to make: IT175J on the frame plate. Earlier IT175 years take different part numbers entirely.

The manual works the way a technician does. Engine removal and disassembly in sequence, inspection against published limits, reassembly with the specified torque values. Carburettor and ignition settings are factory figures rather than starting points. Front and rear suspension, brakes, wheels and controls each have their procedures, and on a machine built for rough ground those chapters get used.
