Known issues on the 1982 Electra. The federal record holds 1 recall for the 1982 Electra, and it involves the fuel injection pump. On certain 1982 Electra vehicles with the engine the recall specifies, the governor weight retainer inside the pump could fail under some operating conditions, letting the throttle valve stick so the engine would not drop back to idle and the driver could not shut it down.
