1981 Yamaha TT500 Service and Repair Manual
By 1981 the TT500 was at the end of its run, and the code on that final year's machine is TT500H. Yamaha still documented it in the same volume as the rest: part number LIT-11616-01-50, covering 1976 through 1981 along with the SR500 and XT500.
Late examples are often the ones that have been ridden hardest, which makes the original inspection limits worth having. Knowing what the factory considered serviceable, rather than guessing, decides whether a part goes back in or into the bin.
The reference gives torque values with each procedure, disassembly and reassembly in prescribed sequence, carburettor and ignition specifications, chassis and braking work, and the original wiring diagrams.
