1981 Yamaha SS440 Service and Repair Manual

Five model years of the SS440, 1981 through 1985, sit inside Yamaha LIT-12618-SS-02. The 1981 sled is coded SS440E.

Little changed across that run, which is why one manual sufficed. Where something did, the specification tables name the codes each column belongs to, so the 1981 figures stay separate from the later ones.

The material covers engine disassembly and reassembly with torque values and wear limits, carburetion and ignition service, clutch and chaincase work, track tension, suspension and steering, brakes, and electrical diagnosis with the wiring diagram. Periodic maintenance intervals are Yamaha's own.
