1979 Yamaha Yamahopper Service and Repair Manual

Small machine, proper factory manual. LIT-11616-01-31 covers the Yamahopper across the 1979, 1980 and 1981 model years, and the 1979 example is coded QT50F.

These are simple enough that owners often work on them without a reference and then get stuck on exactly the things a manual settles: fastener torques, clearances, carburetor and ignition settings, and how an assembly is meant to come apart.

Because the book spans three seasons, the differences between them are recorded in place. Check QT50F against your machine's documentation, then work from the maintenance schedule, engine disassembly and reassembly procedures, chassis and brake sections, and the electrical diagrams. All specifications are Yamaha's originals — which, on a moped now well over forty years old, is information that is genuinely hard to come by anywhere else.
