1979 Yamaha IT175 Service and Repair Manual
A new book for 1979: LIT-11626-01-38, covering the IT175F and nothing else. Yamaha revised this model often enough that each season got its own reference, so do not assume a neighbouring year's manual will do.
The code to match is IT175F, stamped on the frame plate.
What the manual contains is the factory procedure set for the machine. Engine work in sequence, with the inspection measurements that decide reuse or replacement. Torque figures. Carburettor jetting and ignition timing as specified. Suspension, brake and wheel procedures, which on an enduro bike see more attention than on most road machines.
The electrical section provides the wiring diagram and the test values behind it. Troubleshooting is arranged by symptom, and the wear limits alongside it are the reason a rebuild comes out right rather than merely finished.
