1978 Yamaha SR500 Service and Repair Manual

One book, six model years, three models. Yamaha's LIT-11616-01-50 runs from 1976 to 1981 and takes in the SR500, the TT500 and the XT500. The 1978 bike is coded SR500E.

Verify that code before ordering. Suffix letters are the only reliable way to separate one year of these singles from the next, and the manual's tables are arranged around them.

What it contains

Factory torque figures, wear and clearance limits, procedures written in the order the engineers intended, wiring diagrams with the values needed to test against, and diagnostics organised by reported symptom rather than by system alone.
