1977 Yamaha XT500 Service and Repair Manual

Model code XT500D identifies the 1977 XT500, and the book Yamaha wrote for it carries part number LIT-11616-01-50.

One volume, six model years. Yamaha's engineers built the 1976 to 1981 bikes closely enough that a single service manual serves all of them, and the same book was extended to the SR500 and TT500. If your shelf has to cover more than one of those machines, it only needs this one manual.

Content is what a factory manual is bought for. Disassembly order, clearance and wear limits, torque specification tables, ignition and carburettor settings, and the wiring diagram drawn for the period harness. Nothing has been rewritten or summarised for a general audience, so the numbers you read are the numbers Yamaha's own technicians worked to when these bikes were still under warranty.

Check the code against your frame label and the part number against anything else you already own before you buy, so you do not end up with two copies of the same volume.
