1976 Yamaha YZ250 Service and Repair Manual

Code YZ250C, part number LIT-11626-00-26. The 1976 YZ250 got its own factory service manual rather than sharing the previous year's volume, and this is it.

Half a century on, the specification tables are the reason to own it. They record what Yamaha considered serviceable and what it considered worn out, which is the only sound basis for deciding whether a part from a bike this old goes back in. The torque figures matter just as much, since period aluminium does not forgive an overtightened fastener.

The manual also carries the disassembly and reassembly sequences, ignition timing, carburation settings, suspension figures and the wiring diagram for the original harness. Check your frame label reads YZ250C before ordering; the 1975 bike uses a different part number and covers a second model besides.
