1976 Yamaha TT500 Service and Repair Manual

Yamaha's approach to the big single was to document the whole family at once. Part number LIT-11616-01-50 covers the TT500 together with the SR500 and the XT500, across model years 1976 through 1981. The 1976 machine here is code TT500C.

That shared coverage follows the hardware. These bikes had a great deal in common, and a procedure written for one is the procedure for the others where the components match. The text separates them where they diverge.

For a restoration this is the primary source: original wear limits, factory torque figures, assembly sequences, carburettor and ignition specifications, and the wiring as it left the factory rather than as later redrawn.
