1973 Yamaha SL292C Service and Repair Manual

Yamaha's service manual for the SL292C is part LIT-12618-39-00. The sled's model code is simply SL292C, as was the convention on machines of that era.

The factory covered the GP292B in the same volume, which is helpful given how often these two turn up in the same collection. Procedures written for one apply to the other except where the text says otherwise.

On a sled this old the manual earns its place mainly through numbers that are hard to find anywhere else: torque values, clearances, assembly sequences and the wiring layout as the factory drew it. Restorers use it to check what has already been done to the machine as much as to plan the next step. It is period documentation, written for dealer technicians who were servicing these when they were new.
