1972 Yamaha LT3 Service and Repair Manual

One volume, LIT-11613-14-01, served Yamaha dealers for an entire group of early-seventies two-strokes. The 1972 LT3 is one of them, listed by the model code LT3.

Because Yamaha wrote it that way, the coverage is wider than a single machine and a single season. The years 1971, 1972 and 1973 all fall inside it, and so do the AT1, AT2, AT3, CT1, CT1C, CT2, CT3 and the LT2. Someone working on an LT3 will therefore find procedures that reference sister models, with the differences identified as they arise.

The material itself is factory service content: the disassembly and assembly order, the torque and clearance figures, adjustment settings, wiring diagrams and the troubleshooting steps used to isolate a problem.
