1971 Yamaha RT1 Service and Repair Manual

For the early two-stroke enduros Yamaha published LIT-11613-08-01, and the 1971 RT1 appears in it under its own model code, RT1.

The book covers 1971, 1972 and 1973, and it is written for a whole group of machines: the DT1, DT2, DT3, RT2 and RT3 as well as the RT1. That was normal practice for the period and it works in the owner's favour now, because parts and procedures crossed between these models freely and the manual reflects those relationships instead of pretending each bike stood alone.

What you get is the factory's technical material as it was written: teardown and rebuild in sequence, inspection criteria, tightening torques, clearances and service limits, wiring diagrams and fault-finding guidance.

On a machine more than fifty years old, confirming the RT1 code against the frame is more than a formality; these bikes have been swapped and rebuilt for decades.
