1971 Yamaha DT3 Service and Repair Manual

LIT-11613-08-01 is a broad book. Yamaha wrote it for the DT1, DT2, DT3, RT1, RT2 and RT3 over the 1971 to 1973 model years, and the 1971 DT3 is in scope.

Frame code DT3 is what you verify. Specifications that vary between the models in the volume are listed separately for each, so the shared binding does not blur the numbers.

The content is factory reference: engine teardown and assembly in sequence, inspection limits, torque figures, ignition timing, carburettor settings, chassis procedures for suspension and brakes, and an electrical chapter built around the wiring diagram with the tests used to check components in place.

Troubleshooting works from what the bike is doing, not from theory. On a machine of this age, that section and the wear-limit tables tend to be the two parts a rebuilder returns to most.
