Coverage is limited to the 1971 model year, which makes it a tighter document than the multi-year manuals Yamaha issued later. The procedures are the factory ones, written for a dealer mechanic: engine dismantling and reassembly in order, wear limits and clearances, carburettor and ignition specifications, torque values, wiring diagrams and troubleshooting.
